Our Mission

MinibarRx provides transformational technology to the vaccine and refrigerated drug marketplace, driving better healthcare for consumers and a more efficient purchasing and stocking environment for physicians.

Our Vision

MinibarRx delivers a price-leading, pharmaceutical-grade refrigerated storage platform for ordering and restocking vaccines and biologics, optimizing the carrying cost of inventory for its physician customers. In doing so, MinibarRx also offers pharmaceutical companies, health plans, and PBMs a physical platform for dispensing injectables at point of service, increasing visibility to patient-level dispensing, clinical quality, and the cost of care.

The Company

MinibarRx is a stand-alone joint venture of affiliates of Minibar Systems (the world’s largest maker of refrigerated platforms to the hospitality industry) and affiliates of InstantDx (a pioneer in electronic prescribing and healthcare-transaction services). Since 2013, the combined companies have been working in stealth mode to develop its MinibarRx platform, now available worldwide to the physician and hospital markets. Leveraging the power of both companies, MinibarRx is the industry’s first “internet of things” (IoT) platform for medical-grade refrigerators—a truly “smart” refrigerator and “hardware as a service” (HaaS). MinibarRX connects the physician’s EMR and practice management system to an in-office refrigerated drug-dispensing system, closing the gap on patient-level drug lot number and expiry data.

The Solutions

MinibarRx has designed and developed a “smart” refrigerator for vaccine/biologics storage, coupled with a network of service providers who visit the office to set up, monitor, and maintain product inventory for the practice. The result is a system that improves the process of purchasing, storing, administering, and billing for vaccines and biologics in physician offices.

Product is stocked in a secure on-site, purpose-built refrigerator that allows PIN-protected access to vials and pre-filled syringes. Our dispensing technology monitors inventory levels and allows for auto-replenishing of inventory.

This state-of-the-art vaccine storage system improves the vaccination process by eliminating or reducing the significant overhead associated with providing vaccinations—not only acquisition costs of vaccines and biologics, but indirect expenses such as personnel costs of ordering and inventory as well as storage and wastage.
